Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Testing

STD testing is done here confidentially, walk-in and without insurance. If a result is positive, treatment is prescribed at the clinic and we explain what to do about your partner.

When should I get tested?

After a risky encounter, if you have symptoms such as burning when urinating, unusual discharge, sores or itching, when starting a new relationship, or during pregnancy. The CDC recommends annual chlamydia and gonorrhea screening for sexually active women under 25.

How long after exposure should I wait?

Each infection has its own window: a few days for chlamydia and gonorrhea, weeks for syphilis and HIV. Testing too early can give a false negative, so at the visit we tell you when it is worth repeating.

Do many infections have no symptoms?

Yes, and that is the point. Chlamydia and gonorrhea can go months unnoticed and, untreated, affect fertility. That is why testing is not only for when something hurts.

Is it confidential?

Yes. Your result is yours. It is explained in private and, if treatment is needed, it is prescribed right there, along with the recommendation that your partner get checked too so the infection does not bounce back.

How many visits does it take?

Usually one for the sample and a short one for the result and treatment, if needed. When the picture is clear and there are symptoms, treatment can be prescribed at the first visit without waiting for the lab. Results are explained in private, and you decide who else you tell.

No appointment and no insurance needed. Our whole team speaks Spanish, parking is free and the entrance is wheelchair accessible.

How payment works

You pay per visit, with no insurance involved. We take cash, debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover) and phone payments. We do not take checks. Ask about the price of your service when you arrive or over the phone: we tell you before we start, so you know what you are paying.
