Immigration Medical Exam I-693
Immigration medical exam with a USCIS-authorized physician and the sealed Form I-693.

- Authorized civil surgeon
- Sealed Form I-693
- Required vaccines available
- Process explained in Spanish
We are a USCIS-authorized civil surgeon: we perform the full immigration medical exam, with lab work and vaccines in the same place, and hand you Form I-693 in its sealed envelope.
What does the exam check?
Four things: communicable diseases of public health significance, required vaccines, disorders with harmful behavior and drug use. Having diabetes, high blood pressure or extra weight does not affect your case.
What should I bring?
Photo ID, your vaccination record (even if it is from your home country and in Spanish), your medication list, previous tuberculosis results if you have them and the USCIS notice for your case. Without the record, doses you already had get repeated.
How long does it take?
The visit usually takes under an hour. If the tuberculosis test is positive, a chest X-ray follows and the process stretches a few days. Some vaccines need a second dose: ask on day one whether your schedule requires it.
Does the form expire?
Since 2024, the signed I-693 has no expiration date as long as it is properly completed. Do not open the envelope: if it arrives open, USCIS can reject it. To prepare, read our I-693 exam guide.
Can I bring my family the same day?
Yes, and it helps: if several people in the case need the exam, doing it in one visit saves trips and lets us review vaccination records together. Each person gets their own sealed envelope, in their name.
What if I live with a chronic condition?
It does not affect your case. Diabetes, high blood pressure or asthma are recorded as part of your history, nothing more. What USCIS reviews is communicable diseases of public health significance, required vaccines and drug use.
